More than 2,025 million euros in revenue and 175 million euros in profit. This is the balance sheet for the Damm group for the 2024 fiscal year, in which EBITDA reached 321 million. The multinational brewing company, which presented its results at its General Shareholders' Meeting, closed last year with 21 million hectoliters marketed from its beverage division, which goes far beyond beer and includes water, dairy products, and soft drinks ---among them, Nestea, after closing an agreement with Nestlé---.
"The 2024 results highlight the solidity of Damm's business model and its ability to generate long-term growth," defended Damm's executive president, Demetrio Carceller. Furthermore, he believes that these results demonstrate "the efforts the company has made to increase its profitability in a complex environment, marked by persistent inflation, moderation in consumption, and high global uncertainty."
All of this, in a 2024 in which the group has "reinforced its presence in the non-carbonated beverage segment," through the agreement to produce, market, and distribute Nestea in Spain, Andorra, Gibraltar, and Portugal. In addition, Damm's internationalization continued during 2024 "as one of the main growth drivers," with a presence in more than 130 countries and exports under its own brand to 87 markets.
"Currently, we have a team of more than 500 people dedicated exclusively to our international operations, a fact that reflects our commitment to the global expansion of the company," Carceller emphasized, after a year in which the company advanced in the comprehensive renovation of its plant in British Bedford, which it bought in 2022.
"In this area, the solid progress of our brands abroad must be especially highlighted, driven both by the consolidation of existing markets and by the opening of new countries," said Damm's CEO. And, as the group expands internationally, it also does so in the technological and innovative field. In fact, the multinational has initiated a new phase focused on the integration of AI and advanced data analysis, as levers to improve efficiency and facilitate progress in strategic decisions.
