Catalonia mobilizes to help the population of Ukraine cope with the humanitarian emergency caused by the Russian attack. More and more companies and entities are activating devices to help alleviate this crisis. Caprabo announced this Tuesday that it is launching a campaign to collect donations in its network of 300 supermarkets to support Unicef's response on the ground to save and protect children and their families.
According to the chain, donations can be made at the checkouts, without the need to make a purchase or have a customer card. Unicef has prioritized humanitarian aid to Ukraine and is working urgently to adapt and expand its family care programs in the area. Its mobile aid units on the ground allow it to cover the most immediate needs, and in recent days it has already delivered four tons of basic products to families of Ukrainian refugees with children.
It is estimated that more than 7.5 million children are threatened by the intensification of hostilities in the country, so Unicef will work to ensure access to drinking water in affected areas, the delivery of health, hygiene, and emergency education supplies, and also to provide psychosocial care to families.
