THE SOLIDARITY NIGHT IS CONSOLIDATED

One more year, the Festival will feature a solidarity night. The project, promoted by the "la Caixa" Banking Foundation and Clipper's Live within the framework of the Cap Roig Festival, will benefit the TRESC Foundation - Treball amb Suport, from Palafrugell, an entity that works on the training and labor insertion of people with disabilities and mental illness. Antonio José, who will star in this edition's solidarity concert, has already achieved, at just 23 years old, three platinum records, and is considered the most important emerging pop artist in the country.

After the success achieved in previous editions of Cap Roig Mini, this year the Festival is betting on family shows with the little ones as protagonists. Two great shows by Mag Lari and Dàmaris Gelabert will liven up the evenings of August 4th and 10th, respectively.

DINNER AT VIA VENETO FACING THE SEA

The gastronomic offer will remain in the hands of Via Veneto, a highly prestigious establishment that has renewed its Michelin star uninterruptedly for almost 40 years, and which has the quality of service as one of its hallmarks. As every year, the entire Via Veneto front-of-house team will move completely to Cap Roig and, in addition, will be reinforced with about 60 people from the region to reach a staff of about 100 people.

Via Veneto will base its gastronomic proposal on seasonal products from Empordà, bought from local suppliers and in local markets, and will continue to rely on local industrialists who have worked for the event until now, adapting its gastronomic offer to each of the spaces of the Cap Roig complex: Plaza, Cloister and Restaurant.

A SUSTAINABLE FESTIVAL, THE FIRST TO OBTAIN THE BIOSPHERE SEAL

The Cap Roig Festival obtained the Biosphere seal last year, becoming the first music festival in the world to receive this recognition from an international and independent organization within the events section.

This certification is based on the sustainability criteria established in the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and is awarded by the Responsible Tourism Institute (ITR). The promotion of the economic and social development of the territory, the hiring of people at risk of social exclusion, the minimum environmental impact, the compensation of greenhouse gas emissions generated during the Festival, and responsible consumption are some of the criteria adopted by the Festival that led it to obtain this prestigious distinction.

Year after year, the Festival has broken its own attendance record: in 2017, more than 46,000 spectators sold out tickets for almost all thirty concerts.
