To raise funds for the Food Bank. This is the objective pursued, one more year, by the campaign No home without food promoted by CaixaBank, La Caixa Foundation and the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL). During the sixth edition of this initiative, CaixaBank, through its circular economy program ReUtilitza'm, has put up for sale a hundred works from its pictorial and photographic collection to raise money for this cause.

This is the first solidarity exhibition organized by CaixaBank in the Catalan capital within the framework of the campaign to obtain funds for the Food Bank. The exhibition includes works, ranging from 30 to 100 euros, by different authors and artistic styles, from figurative and realistic paintings to abstract creations, including photographs. The exhibition can be visited until Wednesday, June 18, at CaixaBank's all in one office in Barcelona.

In addition to the purchase of art pieces, interested citizens and companies can also participate in the sixth edition of this initiative, which was launched on June 2, by donating money through CaixaBank's portal or application, as well as through Bizum to the number 38014. The collection will be entirely allocated to the Food Bank and will be distributed throughout all Spanish provinces through the 54 centers associated with FESBAL, such as the one in Barcelona.

The money raised from the sale of these hundred works of different styles and authors will be donated entirely to the Food Bank.

With these contributions, and throughout the six years of the campaign, since 2020, the initiative has managed to raise more than 11 million euros throughout Spain, a figure that translates into 10,000 tons of basic foodstuffs, such as milk, rice, eggs, oil, preserves or pasta. These funds serve to tackle a serious social problem since, according to data from the report The state of poverty 2024 prepared by the European Anti-Poverty Network and Social Exclusion in Spain (EAPN-SE), nearly 12.5 million people, more than a quarter of the Spanish population, are at risk of poverty or social exclusion in Spain.

In fact, in 2024 alone, the campaign managed to raise more than 1.7 million euros, an amount equivalent to 1,548 tons of basic foodstuffs that were distributed throughout Spain through the 54 food banks and their 6,493 collaborating social entities. In the case of Catalonia, more than 230,000 euros were raised, of which 164,000 came from the province of Barcelona.
