BNEW closes its fifth edition with record attendance and 10,000 'networking' contacts

The Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW) has closed its fifth edition with more than 12,700 professional visitors from 106 countries, a figure that represents a record for the event organized by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB). Of these, 7,522 were in-person visitors, and 5,224 participated online in the meeting on new economies.

Attendees held more than 10,100 networking contacts over four days through the digital platform specifically developed by the consortium to address challenges and solutions for the economy of the future, which is increasingly present. To continue addressing it, the CZFB has confirmed the celebration of the sixth edition of the event in October 2025.

The event has been held, consolidated as the benchmark event for the new economy and focused on seven interconnected sectors: digital industry, mobility, sustainability, aviation, talent, health, and BNEW Experience.

"BNEW has exceeded all attendance expectations in an edition that has contributed to shedding light on the large number of changes and advances that are taking place and for which we must be prepared," highlighted the special delegate of the State for the CZFB, Pere Navarro, who assured that the event has contributed to positioning Barcelona as one of the great world capitals of the new economy.

The general director of the CZFB, Blanca Sorigué, went further: "After this fifth edition, we can emphatically state that BNEW has consolidated itself as an essential event among the B2B sector that evolves every year to offer a unique and disruptive event with a spectacular staging."
