New bell ringing at the Barcelona Stock Exchange. The information technology consulting and services firm Better Consultants has joined BME Scaleup. The company, founded in 1989, has made the leap to the stock market with a reference price of four euros per share, which places the company's valuation at 8.17 million euros.

The company, which offers digital innovation services ranging from web development to cybersecurity and cloud, has kicked off its stock market journey from the premise that "a company like Better Consultants has to be in the stock markets," as defended by the co-founder and president of the company, Ricard Flores.

"It is an exercise in self-esteem and commitment. You enter a club where you will be constantly analyzed, and you have to show your qualities well, with transparency," he added after ringing the emblematic bell. "When they ask me why we joined, the question should perhaps be the other way around: Why haven't those who haven't joined yet done so?"

"Europe has to be competitive, and to be so it must have powerful stock markets," added Flores, who led the bell ringing as "a ritual in a cathedral," referring to the Stock Exchange as a symbol of the stock market, where not so long ago agents abounded with their physical papers, now replaced by the digital world.

In this digital era, in which technologies such as artificial intelligence gain weight, Flores has claimed that, from Better Consultants, "we are going to continue betting very strongly on natural intelligence, on people's talent." And it is that, "only with talented people who know how to use good tools like AI, companies will move forward."

From this conviction, the company, which has more than 130 employees, faces the future with "very pleasant expectations." The company, which has been advised by GVC Gaesco Valores and Cuatrecasas Gonçalves Pereira, has offices in Madrid, Alicante and Andorra, in addition to Barcelona.

The consultancy is the third company to join BME's growth markets so far this year, including both BME Scaleup and BME Growth. Both markets aimed at growing SMEs welcomed 23 new companies last year, and now total more than 150 companies. For its part, BME Scaleup focuses on small and medium-sized companies with accelerated growth, while BME Growth accompanies larger companies to continue boosting their growth.

"Being a listed company implies significant financing advantages, because it opens the door to a new investment community," highlighted the director of BME's primary markets, Álvaro Castro, who invited the consultancy to take advantage of benefits that go beyond financing and include visibility and "differentiation in a world as competitive as the digital one."
