Barcelona and Seoul, united by the big screen

More than 9000 kilometers separate Barcelona from Seoul. A distance that, however, seems increasingly shorter: kimchi and bibimbap are already beginning to be part of the city's gastronomic offer, while K-pop, with phenomena like Demon Hunters and groups like BTS, has crossed borders and fills stadiums around the world. A distance that, increasingly, has shortened through the screen: K-dramas have turned their stories into global phenomena and Korean cinema has long ceased to have a single title —Parasite— as its calling card. 

For this reason, it may no longer be surprising that the Korean Film Fest is held annually in the Catalan capital, an event that this year reaches its sixth edition with more than 25 films and a program that allows approaching Korean cinematography beyond major international successes. This is demonstrated by the retrospective dedicated to Park Chan-wook, which will allow recovering titles such as Decision to Leave or Sympathy for Lady Vengeance.
