Banco Sabadell has granted more than 1,000 million euros in financing to startups since the launch of BStartup 10 years ago. The specialized service for emerging companies and scaleups of the financial institution has more than 4,500 clients. During its first decade of life, it has become one of the main investors in the seed phase in Spain, investing in a total of 85 startups.
"BStartup has consolidated year after year, we are proud of the role it has played during years of enormous transformation of the Spanish economy, and we will continue to support these companies in their development," says the general director and director of Business Banking and Network of Banco Sabadell, Carlos Ventura.
Banco Sabadell's commitment was a pioneer in Spain, equipping itself with teams focused on emerging companies and offering them financing, specialized products and services. "In 2013, we saw that some of the young technology companies that were emerging were destined to be the great companies of tomorrow, and that despite having financing and development models very different from traditional companies, due to our high specialization in companies we could be the first bank in our country to accompany them," adds Ventura.
Framed within this focus on startups, BStartup will repeat for the ninth consecutive year as the main sponsor of 4 Years From Now (4YFN), the event organized to bring together emerging companies, corporations, and investors during the Mobile World Congress (MWC). From Monday, February 27 to Thursday, March 2, 4YFN will return to Fira Gran Via, its new location after the pandemic that has allowed it to be closer to the multinationals participating in the technology congress.
