Gastronomic observer Of French origin but based in Barcelona, Philippe Regol received the National Gastronomy Award in 2012 thanks to the notes he makes on the blog Observación Gastronómica, considered one of the most respected culinary criticism spaces in the country. He writes with total independence and sincerity, without mincing words when expressing his opinions, but always with respect and humility. A graduate in Spanish Philology from the University of Toulouse, Regol arrived in Barcelona to teach French, but soon discovered that his true passion was cooking, so he trained at the prestigious Hoffman School and worked in several restaurants. In 2006, he hung up his apron and began writing his blog as a travel diary, becoming one of the great references in gastronomic criticism in Spain.
