Mateo Valero

PhD. in Telecommunication Engineering, Professor of Computer Architecture at the UPC and director of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center - National Center for Supercomputing. It has more than 700 articles on the architecture of high-performance computers published and has received numerous prestigious national and international awards such as Eckert-Mauchly (2007), Seymour Cray (2015), Charles Babbage (2017), Harry H. Goode (2009), two national research awards (the "Julio Rey Pastor" in Computer Science and Mathematics and the "Leonardo Torres Quevedo" in Engineering), the Reig Jaume I Research Award of the Generalitat Valenciana and one Creu de Sant Jordi (2016), by the Government of Catalonia. He is a member of five academic entities and Doctor Honoris Causa by nine universities.
