I was born in the town that had the first case of clenbuterol in Catalonia, into a slightly dysfunctional family. I started reading and writing due to a lethal mix of curiosity and boredom. I published my first book of short stories in 1999. I have won the Josep Pla award, with the novel "Feli, esthéticienne"; the Lletra d'or, for the anthology of short stories "Te quiero si he bebido" (I love you if I've been drinking), and the Mercè Rodoreda for another anthology of short stories: "Todo esto lo hago porque tengo mucho miedo" (I do all this because I'm very scared). My latest book, also of short stories, is "Això abans no passava" (This didn't happen before). I have been translated —how lucky I am— into Spanish, English, Italian, Croatian, and German. I have written articles for El País, Avui, Ara, and even for Marie Claire. I collaborate on TV and radio doing the only thing I know how to do: bring coffee and write. I adore Rodoreda and Parker because they share what seems to me an absolute sign of civility: they like flowers. Now —how lucky I am— the company Dagoll Dagom, with les T de Teatre and La Brutal, are bringing some of my stories to the stage.
