Carlos Grau is the current general director of the Mobile World Capital Barcelona Foundation (MWCB).Industrial Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, and PDD by IESE, Carlos Grau has a long professional career in the field of communication and information technologies, as well as in digital business development. After holding various sales and marketing management positions in companies in the ICT sector, such as Hewlett-Packard, Accenture, Sun Microsystem – where he consolidated significant business growth under his responsibility (3M$ to 60M$) – or Telefónica, Grau joined Microsoft as general manager in Catalonia, where in his first four years he managed to triple the turnover. In recent years, Carlos Grau has focused his activity on the field of innovation, where he has led projects such as Biid, a startup focused on mobile identity, or Step One Ventures, a venture capital fund that invests in technology companies with high growth potential. Grau has also served as a mentor for entrepreneurs through Barcelona Activa or the Startupbootcamp IoT and Data acceleration program, promoted in collaboration with MWCapital. His more than 25 years of experience in management positions in large companies in the technology and innovation sector endorse him and consolidate him as a benchmark and leader in digital transformation with a great vision of the challenges and opportunities in business.
