With the start of autumn and changing weather, Barcelona hotels treasure many spaces with character, charm, or design where to have tapas, beyond the highly sought-after terraces that have become a great attraction when the weather permits and of which we recently offered you a selection of proposals. But even on cold or rainy days, it is attractive to cross the doors of some of the city's main establishments and have a good gastronomic experience at the bars and tables of their indoor bars and restaurants. With the common denominator of a special and very carefully curated atmosphere in 5 and 4-star hotels.

We now launch some proposals for tapas and small dishes in hotels in Ciutat Vella and the Eixample to enjoy this October a better return to the urban routine after the summer, and to reconnect with the ingredients of the new season.

Sofia Bar & Tapas (Grand Hyatt Barcelona). Quality tapas in a stylish space

The Sofia Bar & Tapas experience can be enjoyed both indoors and on its pleasant terrace, a few steps from Barcelona's Diagonal. The gastronomic space (one of the five of the luxurious Grand Hyatt Barcelona) delves into Mediterranean cuisine to make a repertoire of tapas shine, encompassing local tradition but also contemporary techniques.

Some proposals from Sofia Bar & Tapas.

It is a stylish bar, with comfortable sofas and armchairs, where they have managed to combine good preparation and presentation with the best ingredients of the moment, as the offer evolves according to local produce and seasonality. Therefore, it is possible that some of their proposals may not be available at different times of the year, while other surprises are incorporated.

It is a good place to enjoy quality canned goods (Anchovy Gildas, Pickled Mussels, Natural Razor Clams, Fine Clams, Cockles, Small Sardines in oil…), and a good acorn-fed ham and a selection of Catalan cheeses. But there are also creations with a spark within the classic assortment (Russian salad with crystal prawns, croquettes, Meat-filled "Bombas", potato omelet with caramelized onion, and more).

As well as tapas in the Sofia style, to complete a good snack, where their Grilled Octopus or the 1/2 charcoal-grilled beef sirloin stand out. Without forgetting vegetarian options such as the Escalivada vegetable and romesco Coca. And a small selection of homemade desserts for a sweet ending.

Every day from 12:30 to 23:00.

Bistrot (Hotel Villa Emilia by Katja & Antoine). A gastronomic secret in the heart of Eixample

The Hotel Villa Emilia by Katja & Antoine broke molds almost two decades ago in the Eixample district by opting for an accommodation model that encouraged guests to feel at home. The founders, with experience in hospitality in France, named it after Katja's grandmother, who had once resided on the estate.

The affection for the project is evident in all its corners, and of course, in its gastronomy. In its Bistrot, the kitchen team prepares both a midday menu from Monday to Saturday, and a menu with different dishes and small plates. On Sundays, they focus on those tapas options that do not disappoint guests and local public.

Seasonal products freshly arrived from the market are their pillars, so the offer is constantly changing. But there is no shortage of preserves, seasonal salads, Russian salad with tuna belly, tortilla skewers, Iberian ham, salmon and avocado tartare, various montaditos, their famous cheese board, and other temptations. Of course, topped with homemade cakes and artisanal ice creams, and a good wine cellar.
