The Barcelona-based blockchain startup Vottun has raised 200,000 euros from LLYC Venturing. It will allocate the resources obtained to continue expanding its technology, which it defines as "the WordPress for Web3" and has been used by clients such as Hipra, Eada, Borges, Bimbo, and Tirme. In addition to LLYC Venturing, other investors who have trusted the company are DraperB1, Esadeban, Basetis, Stellar, and RocaSalvatella.
The startup offers a platform that allows companies to easily use the technological solutions that best suit their businesses, as well as to switch from one to another easily. The company is led by CEO and co-founder, Luis Carbajo, and Head of Business Development and co-founder, Marta Vallés.
"Our mission to bring all the possibilities of Web3 closer and facilitate its adoption by companies is reinforced by LLYC's expertise and leadership position. We are sure that LLYC's active contribution to Vottun will increase our reach and allow us to accelerate our growth exponentially," Carbajo said.
Vottun's technology has been awarded more than 40 prizes and recognitions in recent years, such as the award for best innovation at BNEW 2020.
LLYC's investment vehicle for startups plans to allocate five million euros to 15 projects in the next four years. The ticket will be between 50,000 and 500,000 euros. Vottun is its third operation, after investing in Erudit and Digital Audience. LLYC, formerly Llorente y Cuenca, is listed on the Spanish alternative stock market, BME Growth, and has a total of 21 offices in Spain (Barcelona and Madrid), Portugal, the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, and the Dominican Republic.
