Viktor Ishchuk is one of the most relevant figures in current classical dance. Trained in the tradition of Ukrainian ballet, he has developed a brilliant career as a principal dancer, choreographer, and artistic director. His name is linked to technical excellence and the preservation of the great universal repertoire, a commitment that this summer brings him to the Teatre Tívoli in Barcelona to present one of the genre's iconic works: Swan Lake.

In 2017, Ishchuk took a decisive step in his career by founding the Ballet de Kiev, bringing together a cast of renowned performers from the Ukrainian school. Under his direction, the company began an intense international expansion that consolidated it in the main European circuits. This project evolved in 2025 into the World Ballet Tour, a global platform designed to bring academic dance to new audiences and preserve a living cultural heritage.

The arrival of Ishchuk and his company at the Tívoli reflects the culmination of this timeline: a consolidated artistic project that keeps alive the elegance, precision, and beauty of immortal titles such as The Nutcracker, Giselle, or Don Quixote, ballets that have been adapted with the rigor and passion that characterize its founder.
