Summer invites us to lengthen evenings and discover seaside towns beyond Barcelona. Also to rediscover the Maresme that appears when the day ends and the beaches empty, the one that invites us to stop to listen to music, poetry, and stories under the stars. The new edition of Poetes sota la lluna (Poets under the moon), in the threshing floor of Can Vallerià in Premià de Dalt, is a good excuse to do so.
The festival celebrates eleven editions, transforming, for one night, the farmhouse where writer Valerià Pujol was born into one of the most unique poetic stages. The evening will bring together the voices of Maria Dolors Coll Magrí and Mireia Calafell, one of the most prominent poets in current Catalan literature, before giving way to the premiere in Catalonia of Debon canta Suau. The show unites the verses of Pere Suau, the original music of Antoni Bujosa, and the voice of Pau Debon, singer of Antònia Font in a proposal that closes a special circle: Suau's poems were born, in part, as a result of the Marià Manent Prize, which is awarded precisely in Premià de Dalt.
