Moon. Stars. Planets. For centuries, outer space has been a distant and unknown territory, reserved solely for astronauts, scientists, and science fiction stories. But now technology allows us to bring this universe closer without taking off or leaving Barcelona. After having toured different European cities, the exhibition Space Explorers: The ISS Experience arrives in the Catalan capital with an immersive proposal that invites visitors to virtually enter the International Space Station, the spacecraft where astronauts live and work hundreds of kilometers from Earth.
Through virtual reality, the exhibition allows visitors to discover what life in orbit is like, explore a 3D recreation of the station, experience for a few minutes what it means to be part of a space mission, and contemplate the planet from a perspective previously reserved for astronauts. Beyond the surprise effect, the experience also invites visitors to understand the scientific research work carried out outside Earth and the complexity of this distant environment.
