The University of Barcelona (UB) adds another edition of the Els Vespres de la UB cycle, a space that was born in 2005 to give an opportunity to emerging music and that this year comes of age. After having seen artists such as Rosalía, Mishima, Manel, Maria Rodés and La iaia, the lineup for 2023 features Al·lèrgiques al Polen, Paco Te Quiero, okdw and Julia Amor. A proposal for summer nights that combines festive rhythms with current debates such as the rights of the LGTBIQ+ collective and mental health.

The UB's summer event with new talents has the Finca Pedro i Pons, on Avenida de Vallvidrera, at the foot of Collserola and with views of the city, as its setting. The closest public transport stop is the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGC) Peu del Funicular station.

The concerts will begin this Tuesday, July 11, and will last until Thursday, July 20, with music playing from 9 p.m. Tickets cost 5 euros, with a drink included, and must be reserved in advance online.

Els Vespres de la UB will begin this Tuesday with the group from Girona Al·lèrgiques al Polen, already with their third LP released. The songs represent a cry for sorority that will revolutionize the stage of Finca Pedro i Pons on July 11.

On the night of Thursday, July 13, Paco Te Quiero will arrive, a musical group formed by five young people from Barcelona. The catchy melodies and accelerated rhythms that are part of the group's first work, Bajona de Verano, will sound.

The third concert will be by the artist from Cubelles Virts Martos. The young woman will take the stage on Tuesday, July 18, with the project okdw, combining diverse styles such as rhythm-and-blues, soul, jazz and pop.

Finally, the Andorran Julia Amor will close this edition of the Els Vespres de la UB cycle. She will do so with her latest album, Lo que pensé que era el amor.
