The acceleration of digitalization is benefiting companies like GFT, specialized in advising and accompanying businesses in their transformation towards virtuality. With increased demand for projects, the German multinational will strengthen its team in Spain, where it plans to hire 500 workers throughout this year, reaching a total of 2,300 employees. Of the 500 it expects to incorporate, 200 have already done so during the first half.

This plan will translate into the hiring of 110 employees at its Sant Cugat del Vallès headquarters, its main one in Catalonia, where almost 600 workers are currently employed. Likewise, in Lleida, where the technology consultancy also has offices and a team of 170 employees, it will hire about 32 professionals.

GFT is looking for professionals specialized in the digital world from any sector, from finance and insurance to the industrial or retail sector. The requested profiles are specialists, developers, and architects of technologies related to digital transformation, such as cloud and data analysis.

In line with its business model, the technology consultancy will maintain remote work once the pandemic passes. "Our purpose is to be a leading company not only in our offerings and services, but also in the way we work," explains GFT's Human Resources Director in Spain, Eduard Cañas.

Specifically, the multinational's employees can choose between working in person or remotely from anywhere in Spain, as well as combining it, deciding how many days a week they want to telework, allowing them to do so from their usual residence or a second residence. This hybrid model also includes flexible hours to facilitate family and personal reconciliation.

For those who want to return to the office, GFT has transformed headquarters such as those in Sant Cugat to focus them on collaborative work, leaving behind an organization centered on individual desks. In this way, these more traditional spaces have been reduced and more team workstations have been created. To organize themselves, they have developed an application that will allow them to reserve parking and where to work when going in person.
