The Swiss multinational Galderma has decided to install a global training center in Barcelona, the only one it will have in all of Europe. The company, dedicated to injectable aesthetics, dermo-cosmetics, and therapeutic dermatology, already had a presence in Spain, with offices in Madrid.

From the new headquarters in the Catalan capital, the company will have to deploy new capabilities to support its global commercial teams, with the aim of executing the expansion plans that are to make it an international leader. "Our new global training center will bring additional new capabilities and enhance our ability to support our growth trajectory," says Galderma CEO, Flemming Ørnskov.

The offices, located in the Eixample, will support areas such as commercial, finance, human resources, ICT, legal, and supply chain. "The new center offers numerous professional development possibilities. These include exposure to global and multi-functional projects, as well as access to international career opportunities," the company details.

Galderma has already begun the selection process, with the forecast of hiring about 50 workers this 2023. The center is expected to become operational in the coming weeks. For its location in Barcelona, it has had the support of Acció.

Founded in 1981, Galderma was created as a joint venture between L'Oréal and Nestlé. In 2014, when Nestlé Skin Health was born, the company became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nestlé. Five years later, it was acquired by a consortium of institutional investors led by the Swedish fund EQT.

Headquartered in Switzerland, the multinational has a workforce of more than 5,700 professionals. It is present in 90 countries, with factories in Canada, Sweden, France, and Brazil, from where more than 280 million units are produced annually.

Its portfolio of premium lines includes brands such as Cetaphil, Differin, Epiduo, Loceryl, Sculptra, and Restylane. They treat diseases such as acne, rosacea, or keratosis.
