Artificial intelligence stands as a key tool in future customer service. To get ahead of upcoming trends, the French multinational consulting firm Foundever has chosen to open a technology laboratory focused on the development of AI tools applied to this field, and has decided to locate it in Barcelona.

The company's new global AI Lab, located in 22@, will serve as a meeting point for international teams of the company, which has valued the city's connectivity, as well as the availability of talent and an innovative ecosystem with which to establish synergies, to make the decision to locate its center in the Catalan capital.

"Located in the 22@ district, surrounded by technology companies and startups, we have a great opportunity to foster strategic collaborations and continue driving innovation in the sector," defended Foundever's Vice President of Product, Rebecca Jonsson.

At the center, the multinational will work to develop AI solutions that improve customer service and experience and that also translate into efficiency and effectiveness. Thus, the lab aspires to become a center of technological innovation that contributes to digital transformation, and that is a reference point for the 45 countries in which the company operates. Founded in Nice in 1994, the company has some 150,000 employees worldwide, of whom 3,000 work from Spain, distributed between Barcelona, Madrid, Seville and Malaga, a city where it has recently opened a new hub.

With its center in Barcelona, the company does not want to open "only a physical space, but a collaborative environment designed to accelerate AI innovation and its application in customer experience," according to the head of Foundever Spain, Gema Marín.

During the presentation of the technology laboratory, the Spanish Association of Customer Relationship Experts (Aeerc) has recognized the new center with the Crece Aeerc award in the category of new platforms and technology centers in Spain, for its innovation and its determination to transform customer experience. From this will, the center will create new tools to replace typical calls that generate more tedium than customers, with proposals such as chatbots, real-time voice translation software and automation programs.
