These are the general figures for the shock plan of active employment policies that the Department of Business and Labor has launched. A shock plan to overcome the impact of Covid-19 in the labor world, recover as soon as possible the jobs lost due to the pandemic, adapt training to new labor realities and strengthen sectors that are in full reconversion.

The 917 million euros (72% more than the budget allocated to employment policies last year) represent a record investment that will allow the execution of the most ambitious plan ever promoted by the Government of Catalonia to combat unemployment and offer a dignified labor future to all workers. The purpose is to put people at the center of the recovery and transform the productive model to make it more resilient, competitive and capable of generating well-being and prosperity for all. And in this 'everyone', the Government will pay special attention to those groups (young people, women, over 45s...) with greater difficulties in entering or re-entering the labor market.

The shock plan regarding active employment policies also incorporates, among others, actions in terms of support for insertion, local economic development, and promotion of the social economy and cooperativism.

All these actions will be promoted through the Servei Públic d'Ocupació de Catalunya, the General Directorate of Social and Solidarity Economy, Third Sector and Cooperatives, and the General Directorate of Labor Relations, Self-Employment, Safety and Occupational Health.
