Hotel Arts Barcelona has incorporated Conrado Tromp as culinary director, replacing Antonio Sáez. He is a Dutch chef with more than 25 years of experience in luxury hotels around the world, where he has led Michelin-starred restaurants.
Born in 1975, Tromp has developed his professional career in the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, France, Germany, the Maldives, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Kuwait, China, Japan, and the United States. His career has been closely linked to the Marriott group, serving as executive chef for multiple luxury hotels of the Ritz-Carlton brands ---to which Hotel Arts belongs---, St. Regis, and Sheraton. Before arriving in Barcelona, Tromp led the restoration of the St. Regis Bal Harbour Hotel in Miami; and the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Osaka (Japan), all of them with a five-star category. He also has experience in three Four Seasons resorts located in the Maldives, Riyadh, and Berlin.
During his stay at the Ritz in Osaka, between 2016 and 2019, the chef managed to win two Michelin stars thanks to his management at the helm of the La Baie and Tempura by Hangatami restaurants.
At Hotel Arts, Conrado Tromp will supervise all gastronomic operations, thus being responsible for both room service and the hotel's five culinary spaces: the Enoteca restaurant ---by chef Paco Pérez and holder of two Michelin stars---, Bites, P41, Lokal, and Marina.
