The high-tech incubator in 3D printing, promoted by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) and the Leitat technology center, has just expanded its facilities with 40% more surface area, going from the initial 600 square meters to the current 1,000. This growth responds to the great interest that the 3DFactoryIncubator has aroused in its first year of operation with 42 incubated projects, thus exceeding initial expectations, which hoped to host 100 companies during the first five years.

The new surface will be used to increase the offer and services of the 3DFactory Incubator laboratory with the installation of new post-processing equipment for parts, among which is the HP Jet Fusion 3D 4200 Processing Station, which will allow the incorporation of a new flexible production material. The incubator will also have equipment for graphite coating parts by sandblasting and shot blasting, equipment for cleaning and surface treatment by compressed air, and equipment for dyeing parts.
Currently, the 3DFactory Incubator has more than 40 incubated companies from sectors as diverse as health, robotics, mobility, consulting, new technologies, consumer goods, logistics, and chemistry. It offers three incubation modalities to its companies: with its own office, virtual incubation, or through a space in the coworking area.
