The independent financial consultancy Upbizor expects to raise 60 million euros this year to contribute to the development of emerging companies that are in capitalization phases between FFF (Family Friends and Fools) and seed phase, as well as companies that have a high degree of growth for the coming years.

The firm will continue its policy of support to facilitate non-dilutive financing for startups and SMEs which, during 2021, resulted in the raising of 50 million euros, almost 57% more than in 2020, and the generation of five million euros in tax incentives for R&D&i. The forecasts for this year are to increase resources by 20% and double the tax savings it aims to generate for companies.

To continue its growth, Upbizor will incorporate five professionals into its current staff of 30 people, in Barcelona. The team has been complemented, since April 2021, with an office in Valencia after signing an agreement with the accelerator Lanzadera, owned by Valencian businessman Juan Roig.

Its focus of action is on sectors that provide innovation, such as software services (SaaS), mobile apps, e-commerce, fintech, web3, biotech and healthtech.

The consultancy Upbizor closed 2021 with an increase of 300 new clients who join the portfolio of its more than 500 recurring clients, who have again resorted to Upbizor's services in their different growth stages. Among its new clients are Dust, Hellotickets, Factorial, Hamelyn, Laagam, PSquared, GreyGlasses, Brickbro, Idoneo, Delitbee, Hunty, Stockagile or Criptan, among others.

Currently, the financial firm created in 2017 is one of the main consultancies in terms of the volume of public funding applications submitted to the Government. In 2021, it received more than 600 applications, compared to 350 the previous year, of which 200 requests were for ENISA loans. Through this instrument, Upbizor obtained more than 20 million euros in public funding for its startups. Among these are Aticco Labs, Hubble, Jotelulu, Stockagile, Väcka, Senniors or Yakk.

According to Jordi Altimira, CEO of Upbizor, this year services to clients will be expanded in the areas of finance for training, M&A solutions for entrepreneurs or the mastery of all funding solutions for technology companies. For some of these areas, the company will seek strategic partners throughout Spain.
