One more year, the Catalan business fabric prepares for a gala that acts as a key meeting point for the sector: the Cecot Business Night. The employers' association will celebrate on October 13 at the Teatre Principal de Terrassa what will be the 30th edition of the gala, in an evening that will once again bring together executives, entrepreneurs and institutional representatives.

In this 30th edition, the main protagonist will be the founder and honorary president of La Fageda, Cristóbal Colón Palasí, who will receive the Cecot Recognition for Personality 2025. A psychologist by training, Colón promoted more than forty years ago a project that revolutionized the social and labor integration of people with intellectual disabilities and mental illness in La Garrotxa, which reaches citizens in the form of yogurts, ice creams and jams.

Throughout these four decades, the cooperative has consolidated itself as a benchmark, also in its model of social transformation and integration, something that the jury of the Cecot awards has valued. This has also been confirmed by previous recognitions, such as the Creu de Sant Jordi in 2009 and the recent appointment as Doctor Honoris Causa by the University of Girona.

In addition to this tribute to the founder of La Fageda, Cecot will present its Recognitions for Business Progress to companies that reflect the diversity and vitality of the Catalan fabric. In the field of sustainability, the jury's choice has fallen on Piera Ecocerámica, a historic Barcelona company specialized in the manufacture of ceramic materials. In the category of digital transformation for industry, the award has gone to Siverus, based in Vallirana, which has developed cutting-edge digital solutions for the management and security of industrial processes, while, in the field of services, Cecot has recognized Dexeus Mujer, after having promoted a digitalization process to improve care and relationship with its patients.

Creativity has also been awarded, with GrandesZapatos, an online sales company that has revolutionized the specialized footwear trade with an innovative proposal adapted to a global market. The focus on the future is embodied by Lumiris Spectral Solutions, a Barcelona spin-off emerged from the university environment that develops cutting-edge optical technology with applications in fields such as biomedicine and scientific research.

For its part, the EAP Sardenya primary care team has been distinguished as a responsible SME, Silgan Dispensing Systems Barcelona has been awarded for its prevention and occupational well-being policies, which have made this company in the packaging sector an example of health promotion among its workers.

The value of associationalism

In addition to the awarded companies, Cecot wanted to highlight the value of associationalism with the recognition of the Gremi de Ferreteria de Catalunyaand to theUnió de Botiguers de Reus, two examples of how sectoral organizations can act as a collective engine. There will also be space for memory and tradition, with a tribute to four centenary entities and companies: GuinotPrunera, Coma y Ribas, Vicente Torns and the Il·lustre Col·legi de Graduats Socials de Barcelona, Girona i Lleida, which have managed to remain relevant after more than a century of history.

In the same way, the Cecot gala has also managed to remain relevant throughout the decades. Xavier Panés, president of Cecot, reaching this 30th edition represents a milestone that confirms the employers' association's vocation: to recognize and make visible the trajectories and good practices that contribute to the country's progress: "We reach the 30th edition, and this means 30 years recognizing and celebrating companies and trajectories that advance the country."

Cecot has accumulated three decades recognizing talent and innovation in business
Panés also wanted to emphasize that this celebration coincides with the culmination of the first phase of Cecot's Strategic Plan, a roadmap that has opted forto place the partner at the centerand position the entity as a leading business and professional community.

Thus, after three decades recognizing and promoting the talent and innovation of Catalan companies, the gala asserts itself as a meeting point that brings together business leaders around success stories that have contributed to building the Catalan business fabric.
