The Cambra de Comercio de Barcelona has undertaken a profound transformation of its headquarters, located on Avenida Diagonal, to welcome companies. After an investment of four million euros, more than 5,000 square meters will be offered for rent, with shared workspaces and meeting rooms. The project, known as HUB Cambra, has been promoted by the governing team that arrived at the corporation in 2019, now led by Mònica Roca and previously by Joan Canadell, who made the leap to Catalan politics halfway through his term.
The building has a total of ten floors and six will be opened to companies that want to set up on the Diagonal. Specifically, there will be a coworking with flexible and private spaces, individual videoconference rooms, meeting rooms, and rooms to host events. These spaces were previously used for the corporation's offices, which will now be concentrated on three floors, awaiting the new headquarters in 22@. Taking advantage of the change, the Cambra will also incorporate a new, more open structure in which there are coworking spaces and meeting rooms. The top floor, the tenth, where the presidency and its team were located, will be opened to the entire building, as well as its terrace. On this floor there will also be a restaurant.
The prices to set up at the Diagonal headquarters range from 160 euros per month to be in the shared work area to 300 euros per month, if you have your own desk and the company is domiciled there. In the case that a private office is desired, the price starts at 900 euros per month, with two work desks. There is an 80 euro option, the most economical, which allows you to occasionally reserve shared workspaces and meeting rooms.
In addition to renting spaces for companies, the Cambra will also provide them with a range of services to improve their competitiveness, from support for internationalization and innovation, to financing and technological feasibility studies. There will also be incubation, acceleration, growth programs and investment forums.
The works began more than a year ago and are expected to finish between September and October. As the different floors were being finished, some spaces have already been occupied by new tenants. Among them, the company dedicated to cloud services, Altostratus Cloud Consulting, with clients such as Google. Barcelona Oberta, Comertia, and the National Association of Purchasing and Service Centers (ANCECO) have also moved in.
