The venture capital investment manager ActivumSG Capital Management (ASG) has chosen the luxury chain Ennismore to operate the new hotel that will rise on the seafront of Sant Adrià de Besòs, in front of Port Fòrum. Ennismore, participated by the Accor group, will finally manage this new establishment after Hard Rock International withdrew a few months ago.
The structural works of the new hotel will finish in the coming months and the establishment is expected to open its doors in the second half of 2024. The investment of this project, assumed by ASG, amounts to 200 million euros, a figure that includes both the purchase of the plot it occupies and the construction of the new establishment, whose works are well advanced.
The hotel in Sant Adrià will occupy more than 31,300 square meters and will have 490 rooms, all with balconies. The offer will be completed with a rooftop restaurant terrace, three swimming pools, an event hall of almost 800 square meters, a spa, a beauty salon and a fitness center. The establishment is located on the last plot of the metropolitan area's promenade where hotel development is permitted.
The British Ennismore will locate in Sant Adrià the first hotel of its SLS brand in Europe. This luxury lifestyle brand only has seven other establishments worldwide, located in Beverly Hills, Miami, Bahamas, Cancun and Dubai. In addition to Barcelona, the hotel group plans to open two more SLS hotels in Puerto Madero (Argentina) and Scottsdale (United States). The group has a portfolio of 14 brands, with 90 operational properties and 160 under development, as well as more than 150 restaurants and nightlife establishments.
