The return of the halls for the general public at Fira de Barcelona has passed the test with flying colors. The influx of visitors to B-Travel has exceeded initial expectations, leaving some stands without maps and making more than one person wait until their turn came.

The final count stood at 10,000 attendees at the Montjuïc venue, full of hand sanitizer dispensers, screens, and one-way routes. It is still far from the 30,000 of 2019, but in times of pandemic, the figure obtained is a success.

With more than 60 exhibitors, the most demanded destinations during the three days of the fair were Catalonia, Andalusia, the Balearic Islands, and the Canary Islands, although there were also those who ventured to explore the offerings presented beyond national territory, with a special prominence of European cities and Indonesia. There was no shortage of vans or innovative proposals, such as routes that aim to discover the industrial heritage spread across Spain.

"Exhibitors are satisfied with the interest and influx of visitors, which highlights the incipient reactivation of the market," explains the president of the fair, Martí Sarrate, who assures that B-Travel has contributed to the recovery of one of the sectors most affected by the pandemic.
