Telefónica's management has committed to the majority unions to recognize for the first time its position regarding the right to digital disconnection. The company has made public in recent days, with the endorsement of the majority trade union organizations in Spain, UGT and CCOO, its objective of implementing concrete measures to promote respect for workers' rest time once the working day has ended, and recognizes as an opportunity the fact of leading the implementation of this right in its operators, a trend increasingly present in the global business reality.

The commitment to digital disconnection will be extended to all countries where Telefónica operates and will soon be incorporated, as an annex, into the International Framework Agreement that the Company has in force with trade union organizations worldwide. Telefónica will promote awareness and training actions in its different territories aimed at all Group professionals to inform about the risks, challenges, and good practices related to the use of digital tools.

In the document, the company recognizes as essential that workers can 'disconnect' when necessary and create healthy habits regarding the use of their devices. Telefónica will provide all the necessary tools for the Group's employees to develop their own 'digital well-being'.

This objective of working to extend the intelligent use of technology in the organization is one more of the shared commitments between Telefónica and the most representative unions. Telefónica has a successful social dialogue model that has allowed the company's transformation processes at a global level to be managed under the principles of concertation and agreement.
