After the good experience last summer when, despite the pandemic situation, a lot of leisure, educational and sports activities were opened throughout Catalonia with total safety, this year they will be held again, so that children and young people can fully enjoy themselves. The city councils once again demonstrate their commitment, and with the technical, material, and economic support of the Barcelona Provincial Council, they work to ensure that
children and young people have a sufficiently broad and diverse offer availableto guarantee fairness and equal opportunities in all educational and leisure activities organized in the territory.

At this point, many city councils already have a wide catalog of summer resources and servicesand design activities, provide aid and cede spaces and materials to leisure and sports entities in their municipalities, in addition to supporting families through scholarships, price reductions and even free access. Although the current health data is better,
everything suggests that this summer will not be entirely "normal" and that many of the security measures will be maintainedthat still today must be applied. And, it is for this reason, that the Barcelona Provincial Council continues to work on several lines of support to accompany the municipalities of the province in the organization of activities. In addition, the spaces for interaction with municipal technical staff and political leaders of the province's municipalities have been intensified and strengthened. And contacts with educational, sports and leisure agents continue to be promoted to share proposals and criteria that help foster and promote the organization of safe and quality activities.
