SolarProfit will be the fifteenth company to join BME Growth ---formerly Mercado Alternativo Bursátil, MAB--- in 2021. Its debut on this stock market on December 14 will take place after having successfully closed a capital increase of 20 million euros. The demand for this operation, carried out with a capital increase and sale of shares by the founders, has been three times higher than expected.
As a result of the capital increase, SolarProfit's founders, Óscar Gómez and Roger Fernández, now control 88.9% of the group's capital, while the remaining 10.88% is in the hands of new investors, with 217 shareholders, not counting treasury stock.
The photovoltaic solar energy company, with more than 14 years of experience, has set a reference value for each of its shares of 9.37 euros, which is the subscription price of the executed capital increase. This price implies a total valuation of the company of 183.92 million euros.
With the IPO, SolarProfit aims to accelerate its business plan and consolidate itself as the largest self-consumption company in Spain. With a very clear objective: to exceed 65,000 residential installations in 2024 and reach an accumulated power of 100 MW in 2024 in the industrial area, points out Roger Fernández, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of SolarProfit. The company, created in 2007, wants to become a service provider for clients, from installation to maintenance, including advice on energy purchase and financing for the installation.
The firm closed 2020 with a turnover of 18.3 million euros and, in the first six months of 2021 alone, it has reached a business of 17.6 million euros. Between January and July of this year, SolarProfit has closed the sale of 2,600 residential installations and completed the installation of 1,800 more, quadrupling monthly sales of new installations and tripling its installation capacity during the mentioned period. With these levels of demand increase, SolarProfit expects to close 2021 with a turnover exceeding 40 million euros.
"The IPO will further boost the company's growth, contribute to increasing its presence in the national territory and strengthen our prestige as leaders in the energy self-consumption sector," says Óscar Gómez, founder and CEO of SolarProfit. Headquartered in Llinars del Vallès (Barcelona), the company has eight branches in the national territory and a presence in 50 provinces, with a workforce of more than 600 employees.
