Innovating both in content and in the way it is presented. With this objective, the International Logistics Exhibition of Barcelona (SIL Barcelona) faces its next edition, which will be held from June 3 to 5. From the Montjuïc venue of Fira de Barcelona, the event will seek to go beyond the exhibition fair and act as a showcase and dynamizer of innovation, digitalization and talent in the sector.
The exhibition prepares its 28th edition consolidated as a benchmark in the world of logistics and with new spaces and formats to continue leading the sector. Among them, proposals such as the SIL Lab and the IA Corner stand out, both designed as living environments where technological demonstrations, immersive experiences, talks and practical workshops will be combined. In these spaces, real cases, tools and trends on the application of artificial intelligence and other technologies to the supply chain will be shared.
The change in format will also be reflected in the content program. The SIL Knowledge will incorporate interviews and dynamic conversations with experts and protagonists of the sector, designed to delve into key topics. The exhibition will also include participatory debates and international sectoral conferences such as the Spain Air Cargo Day or the International Logistics Summit, among other already consolidated meetings.
International outlook
The commitment to new content and formats is combined, once again, with the international vocation. The SIL will once again bring together companies and professionals from different countries and will strengthen its program of sectoral conferences and activities ofnetworkingwithpartnersinternacionales. In the exhibition area, the participation of companies from countries such as Germany, Belgium, China, France, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Portugal, Turkey, and Switzerland, among many others, has already been confirmed."The world is advancing at a dizzying pace, and logistics is too," highlighted the special delegate of the State in the Consorcio de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) and president of SIL, Pere Navarro. And it is that "every day new tools appear, developed through technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, IoT, 5G, sensing, or robotics, which come to help us be more efficient," also in the broad field of logistics.
"It is up to us to make it so; we cannot look the other way, because we will be losing opportunities. At SIL 2026, we will learn how to do it, through examples, practical cases, and the most inspiring sessions," guaranteed the special delegate of the CZFB, the consortium responsible for organizing the fair.
To take advantage of these opportunities, the fair will delve into new technologies and tools to optimize logistics and supply chains. "All the novelties we will see in the next edition of SIL are the result of our commitment to continue innovating every day and offer new content and experiences to our visitors," assured the general director of the CZFB and SIL, Blanca Sorigué.
Practically all of these visitors (96%) correspond to profiles "with decision-making or influence capacity in their companies," he added, at a fair that acts as a meeting and business point and a debate forum "to share company news, logistics trends, and the challenges the sector will face in the coming months."
With this approach, SIL Barcelona is preparing to once again be the great meeting point for the sector, with representation from the entire logistics chain: from transport to industry 4.0, last mile, talent, and sustainability, in an edition that not only updates its content but also changes the way of looking at logistics.
