The reformed Consell de Cent not only attracts passersby, but also new firms that choose it to land in Barcelona. The Japanese watchmaker Seiko has opened a pop-up store for its 5 Sports collection at number 308 of the pedestrianized street, a few meters from Passeig de Gràcia and with 30 square meters.

The ephemeral store, dedicated to the Japanese brand's most youthful and modern collection, represents the firm's first physical space in Barcelona. The watchmaker, which also has a boutique in Madrid at a national level, aims to bring the brand closer to the public through this temporary opening in the Catalan capital.

The brand, founded in 1881, has chosen this location within the city precisely because it has practically become a pedestrian street, within a privileged commercial area. Thus, the conversion of the Eixample street into a green axis has been key to attracting Seiko's temporary store, which has declined to specify for now how long it will remain open.

This pop-up store aims to bring the firm's universe closer to its visitors through a decoration in line with the 5 Sports collection, which combines red and black. Since its launch more than 55 years ago, this Seiko range aims to conquer new generations with mechanical watchmaking through disruptive designs.

With this purpose, the watch brand Seiko has promoted special pieces, such as an edition in honor of martial arts actor Bruce Lee, and another developed together with Queen guitarist, Brian May. The store, which will also serve as a collection point for online orders from the Japanese watchmaker, will display its 5 Sports models to Barcelonans and visitors, through the showcase that the city represents worldwide.
