The city of San Sebastián occupies the first place in the world ranking of the best destinations for eating, according to a comprehensive study prepared by the British food delivery company Caterwings which was published last December.
Two other Spanish cities, Barcelona and Madrid, are also among the top ten in this list. The Catalan capital is fourth in the ranking, behind Tokyo (Japan) and New York (United States), while Madrid occupies seventh place. Ahead of the Spanish capital are Singapore (Singapore) and Paris (France).
The podium of the ten best culinary destinations in the world is completed with the cities of Lima (Peru), London (United Kingdom) and Munich (Germany).
To establish its ranking, Caterwings takes into account eleven different factors, including the evaluation of food critics, the variety, quality, and affordability of restaurants for both the local population and tourists.
The study includes a total of 100 cities. The following graph shows the top 20 with the score obtained from 0 to 10 points.
