Samsung is betting on Barcelona with the opening of one of its main Samsung Experience Stores, a large-format establishment that it had already implemented in Madrid, Bilbao, and Valencia with El Corte Inglés. In alliance with the department store group, the Korean mobile phone brand has just inaugurated its new flagship store in the Catalan capital on Avinguda del Portal de l'Àngel, considered the city's most sought-after commercial street.
The Samsung Experience Store occupies an area of 400 square meters on the ground floor of the El Corte Inglés center in Portal de l'Àngel. It is a space where the brand showcases its latest innovations in mobile phones, tablets, and wearables, such as the foldable smartphones Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip3. According to the multinational, the objective of this store is "to enhance the consumer experience," further build loyalty among brand lovers, and provide customers with expert professionals in Samsung terminals so they can resolve any doubts and help them with their purchase decision.
In addition to having access to the latest innovations, another strong point of the establishment is that it offers technical service to help configure devices, resolve any incidents, and carry out repairs such as screen breakages. The Samsung Experience Stores in Callao (Madrid), Valencia, and Bilbao already serve more than 7,500 customers each month, of whom about 700 request repair services; in 65% of cases, devices are repaired in less than two hours.
In this format of Samsung stores, courses are also held for customers to learn how to get the most out of their phones. An example is mobile photography workshops. In addition, it shows how the brand's phones work with 5G connectivity, and there is also a space to discover the Bixby personal assistant and the SmartThings application for the Internet of Things.
"Catalonia is a fundamental area for us, where our consumers opt for premium devices and very innovative products such as the Z series foldables. It gives us great satisfaction to continue opening new points of sale so that users can live unique experiences, as we have already done with other spaces in Madrid, Valencia and Bilbao. Without a doubt, this store will be a benchmark for learning about the latest Samsung innovations, but also an opportunity to participate in events, workshops, offers and news specially designed for Galaxy users," said Susana Hidalgo, Head of Retail at Samsung Spain Electronics Iberia during the inauguration.
For his part, Jordi Romañach, Director of Communication and Institutional Relations in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands for El Corte Inglés, pointed out that "for Barcelona it is magnificent news that the world's leading technology company has chosen our store in Portal de l'Àngel to locate one of its reference spaces on the peninsula. The opening of the new Samsung store reaffirms El Corte Inglés' commitment to innovation and is a new sign of the company's commitment to always offer the best service and the highest quality products to all its customers."
