The French company Roche Bobois will abandon its mythical location on Muntaner street. This store opened its doors in 1974, 47 years ago, at a time when it was not at all easy for a foreign brand to establish itself in the country. Despite everything, it soon became an essential space for decoration lovers and over the years it has consolidated itself as a reference point for the sector in the city.

With the move, from Muntaner it will go to París street, corner with Balmes ---next to Diagonal---, one of the hot spots in the interior design, decoration and design market of the Catalan capital. The new facilities will open to the public at the beginning of June and until then the store on Muntaner street will remain operational.

The brand is betting on a new store concept much more modern and in line with sector trends. The new establishment will have 700 square meters distributed in an open-plan layout, where its most popular products will be displayed, as well as new collections and collaborations with designers such as Marcel Wanders, Raphael Navot, Sacha Lakic, Bina Baitel or Stephen Burks.

"This strategic change is driven by the brand's international dynamic but also reflects Roche Bobois' ambition in Spanish territory. As leaders in the furniture and decoration sector in the city, our goal is to offer our clients a high-level meeting place, where they can discover our new collections and be inspired by new design trends," declares the general director of Roche Bobois Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy and Portugal, Luc Cardona.

In Spain, the brand has 19 stores. In all of them, it plans to implement this new model in the coming months, as it has already done in the most important cities of the 55 countries where the French company has points of sale. Spain is the fourth market for the group, with a sales volume of 474 million euros worldwide.
