Quadis grows in the two-wheel sector. The leading group in the sale of new and used cars has just closed the purchase of Ducati Barcelona, becoming the sole official distributor of the Italian motorcycle brand in the Barcelona region. The operation includes the Ducati dealership on Mallorca Street and the workshop that the brand with which the Márquez brothers race has on Industria Street.

"After starting our commitment to motorcycles with Quadis Moto Store two years ago, the incorporation of Ducati Barcelona into Quadis makes us very excited, as it allows us to offer our customers a brand with a great history behind it and enormous prestige like Ducati," says Pol Soler, CEO of the family company. According to Soler, Quadis' goal is to open a new establishment in the province of Barcelona this year "to continue promoting the Ducati brand and make it reach as many people as possible."

Founded in 1998, Ducati Barcelona has been led until now by Lico Pérez, who will remain at the helm of the concession in this new stage. The store on Mallorca Street has a commercial area of more than 1,000 square meters and is located a few meters from the Sagrada Familia.

Quadis recalls the "great relationship" between Ducati and the city of Barcelona, as some of its motorcycles were manufactured here between 1960 and the late 70s. In addition, 12 of the 36 editions of the old 24 Hours of Montjuïc race were won with Ducati motorcycles. In parallel, currently, riders Marc Márquez, Álex Márquez, and Jorge Martín compete with motorcycles of the transalpine brand.

According to the ICPD consultancy, Quadis reached sales of 1,260 million euros in 2022, a figure that represented a growth of 15% compared to the previous year. In total, the group distributes 34 official brands through a network of more than 130 centers. Mercedes, Volkswagen, Audi, Kia, Peugeot, MG, or Ferrari are some of the main brands distributed by the group. In motorcycles, Quadis sells brands such as Voge, Silence, Ray, or Zero. Recently, the Barcelona-based company has boosted its growth in Girona with the acquisition of Grup Andreu, whose dealerships sell about 3,000 vehicles a year.
