More than 40 artists have joined Cruïlla 2024. Pet Shop Boys, Kasabian, The Kooks, María Becerra, Ladilla Rusa, Ginestà, Delaporte, Olga Tañón and Chucho Valdés are some of the new names added to the festival's lineup, which will be held from July 10 to 13 at the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona. An edition that will be marked by headliners such as Avril Lavigne, Amaral or The Tyets, but will also feature The Smashing Pumpkins, Trueno, Funzo & Baby Loud, Shinova, Peter Fox from Seeed, Albert Pla, Rayden, Figa Flawas and Oques Grasses.

At the presentation of the program, the director of the event, Jordi Herreruela, highlighted the diversity of this year's edition, which becomes "a reflection" of the city that hosts it, cosmopolitan and with its own identity, according to ACN. Herreruela explained that Cruïlla, despite having an international vocation, is committed to the attendance of Barcelona residents and the participation of local artists.

For Herreruela, the festival is in between other large festivals and a more typical auditorium proposal. "When we started, it was very difficult for us to explain it, all festivals were very defined, but with time and, after much effort, we have become precursors of this idea and we are proud," he insisted.

More than fifty names

Cruïlla will kick off on July 10 with a first night of more urban music dedicated to a younger audience, this year with a strong presence of Argentine artists. An example is the visit of María Becerra and Trueno. Nationally, Funzo & Baby Loud will be present ---who will perform one of the last concerts of their farewell tour within the festival---, or well-known groups such as 31 Fam, Figa Flawas, Ysy A, Rojuu, María Escarmiento, Kora, Sila Lua, Maria Blaya and Love Yi.

The second night of the festival will combine Latin rhythms and rumba. On Thursday, July 11, big names such as Puerto Rican Olga Tañón, Grupo Niche, or Chucho Valdés: Irakere 50, the band that marked a before and after in Latin jazz, will parade across the Cruïlla stages. On the other hand, Ladilla Rusa, Albert Pla, Azucarillo Kings and La Plazuela will also be present, along with artists such as Yadam, Bia Ferreira or Morochos.
