The Barcelona skyline from the sea, a sailboat, and actors Julio Manrique and Pere Arquillué are the protagonists of Encasillados (Typecast), the first television campaign for Damm's new non-alcoholic beer, named Free Damm Tostada. It is a 0.0% beer made with malts obtained through a fermentation process similar to coffee roasting, leaving toasted notes on the palate, with soft aromas of coffee and cocoa, and a mild bitterness. In the brewing process, the aromas lost when alcohol is removed are reincorporated into the beer to enhance the flavor.
Encasillados is an ad within an ad, as in the spot Manrique and Arquillué simulate being on a break from a shoot aboard a sailboat, precisely, for a Damm campaign. Lying on the deck while trying the new toasted non-alcoholic beer and sharing some prawns, both wonder if there isn't a danger of being typecast for starring in another spot for Free Damm, for whom they already worked in 2019. "Are you really worried about being typecast in beer commercials?" Arquillué asks Manrique in a sarcastic tone. "Honestly, not much," Manrique replies, taking a sip directly from the bottle and contemplating the spectacular views of Barcelona.
Both also emphasize that it is not the same beer, but "another Free Damm that has a different flavor because it is made from toasted malts." "And, where do you think they'll take us in the next ad?" Arquillué concludes.... "To Greenland," Manrique replies. The campaign directed by filmmaker David Vergés can now be seen on television and also through social media.
