In the last ten years, Patatas Torres' business strategy has shifted towards its own brand and the launch of new product ranges primarily aimed at gourmet distribution and the Horeca channel.

Along these lines, the chips and snacks manufacturer has prioritized innovation towards new flavors and varieties and has boosted foreign markets, so that in the last three years it will have doubled its business to exceed 10 million euros this year, according to the family business's forecasts.

85% of sales come from foreign markets, where the brand has a presence in a total of 50 countries, mainly through the commercialization of its potatoes in national and international selected product establishments.

The factory that the company has in Montmeló, of 5,000 square meters, has sufficient capacity to expand production, company sources confirm. About fifty people work in the facilities. The company settled in this town in Vallès in 2016, after closing the plant it had in Dosrius, already the result of the business project of Susana and Jordi García, who had acquired the brand five years earlier, founded by the Torres family in 1969 in Premià de Mar.

In this new stage, new "special and unique in the market" flavors have been launched, according to the company, with the idea of turning chips and snacks into a gastronomic experience and following culinary innovation trends. Thus, since 2019, they market a Veggie line, with vegetable chips made from beetroot, sweet potato, and parsnip.

Product innovation earned the brand the Innoval Alimentaria 2022 award for its dehydrated cheese snacks Just This which are made in Montmeló with new technology that allows manufacturing a product low in carbohydrates, sugar-free, gluten-free, and without genetically modified ingredients (GMO).

The firm continues to promote its Selecta potato line, which includes 100% virgin olive oil, black truffle, Mediterranean herbs, Mediterranean salt, caviar and acorn-fed ham, or sparkling wine varieties, among others.

Patatas Torres has had its production plant in Montmeló since 2016.
