Parlem consolidates its commitment to reading in Catalan, acting as a technological partner of the Setmana del Llibre en Català for the fourth consecutive year. Specifically, the group will be responsible for providing Internet connection via Wi-Fi to the participants of the event, which will take place from September 20 to 29 on Passeig Lluís Companys.

The company, which will have its own stand at the event, will provide Internet access to participants as a result of an agreement signed by Xavier Capellades, CEO of Parlem, and Pep Lafarga Sarrà, manager and general secretary of the Associació d'Editors en Llengua Catalana. The entity, organizer of the meeting, expects to reach 60,000 attendees this year, in its 42nd edition.

Parlem, founded in 2014 by Ernest Pérez-Mas, holds the Segell d'Empresa Compromesa amb la Cultura from the Fundació Catalunya Cultura, and has also been awarded the Premis Nacionals Joan Coromines for its commitment to Catalan and for promoting events such as the Premis Enderrock, the Sant Jordi, the Itinera Festival, the Temporada Alta and the Llegendes de Catalunya, as well as the Espai Texas and the Fil·loxera festival in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, among others.

The operator, which offers comprehensive telecommunications services, is in a full growth phase, with operations in recent months such as the acquisition of Pinergia's Telco business unit and a capital increase of four million euros, which it covered in 15 days.
