Nude Project was born on Instagram when its two co-founders, Bruno Casanovas and Alex Benlloch, met through a mutual friend in 2019. With an initial investment of 600 euros and a run of 30 t-shirts, two marketing students created a clothing brand that leveraged the networks that had originated it to grow and reach more customers, leaving their studies when the company began to gain strength. In just three years, they invoice 11 million euros, employ 60 workers, and dress artists such as Karol G, Quevedo, and the now local Rauw Alejandro.
With a dizzying trajectory, the urban clothing brand is opening up to new channels, while keeping its focus on digital, with the opening of physical stores. After Madrid and Barcelona, the third is in Barcelona, where the company was founded and maintains its headquarters. The establishment, located on Canuda street, has an area of 60 square meters and has led to the hiring of eight workers. The company does not disclose the investment disbursed.
For now, Nude Project does not contemplate opening more stores in Spain and hopes to do so in some European city. International sales represented 30% of turnover in 2022, mainly in countries such as Portugal, Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands. They also have their sights set on Latin America, although logistical barriers make expansion difficult, so they are looking for a local partner.
Currently, the brand focuses on unisex t-shirts and sweatshirts, with an average price of 39 euros and 69 euros, but they are starting to incorporate other garments such as coats, jeans, and sweaters. This year's goal is to expand the catalog with more accessories. The products are manufactured mainly in Portugal and Turkey, although also in China, and are distributed from Seseña (Toledo). The company is studying localizing some phase of the chain in Mataró.
