The fashion firm Nathalie Chandler has set its sights on Barcelona to open what will be its first physical store worldwide. The brand will take over the outlet that Philipp Plein had in a 202 square meter premises, located at Paseo de Gràcia, 44, which is owned by a family office.

Nathalie Chandler is a Belgian artist and designer based in Spain since 2008. After numerous collaborations in the world of fashion and painting, in December 2021 she decided to start her own business venture and founded the firm with her own name, together with her partner and friend Frédéric Lodewyk.

The arrival of Nathalie Chandler has been advised by Cushman & Wakefield. One of the directors of the real estate consultancy, Susana Ramón, highlights that "more and more start-up companies are choosing Barcelona as the launch city for their brand. This shows that it is considered one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Europe with the most and best projection."

According to Cushman data, activity in the high street segment in Spain continues with a trend similar to that recorded in 2019. The first quarter of 2022 totals 9,500 square meters transacted in the SuperPrime and Prime sections of the main commercial arteries of Madrid and Barcelona. Regarding the size of the operations, 72% correspond to contracts with areas of up to 300 square meters.
