Marina Port Vell Barcelona has signed an agreement with the America's Cup to be the preferred space for superyacht and large vessel mooring during the event, which will be held between August and October 2024. As explained by Marina Port Vell in a statement, the official organizers of the Cup ---ACE Barcelona--- and the official superyacht services partner of the regatta ---BWA Yacthing---, will collaborate with them to offer their premium services to the large vessels attending the regatta.

In fact, more than 40 vessels have already requested a berth to attend the sporting event, requests that will be handled through a centralized reservation system managed by BWA Yachting.

According to Marina Port Vell, the interest in its berths "further reinforces the positioning of the city of Barcelona as a superyacht hub in the Mediterranean and a reference destination in the sector."

The general director of Marina Port Vell Barcelona, Ignacio Erroz, explained that they are already working to make the America's Cup edition in the city "the best in the entire history of the competition."

"From the beginning of our conversations with Barcelona and Catalonia as a potential venue for the America's Cup event, we have been very impressed by the scope and quality of the marinas, ports and facilities that can be offered to visiting yachts," said ACE Barcelona CEO, Grant Dalton. "Marina Port Vell is unique in its location, so close to the city center and next to the team bases," he remarked.

Within the framework of the agreement signed with Marina Port Vell, the facilities will be able to market the official merchandising of the 37th America's Cup. In addition, during the competition, the marina's facilities are expected to host important celebrations and special events focused on visiting superyacht owners and the main international brands supporting the America's Cup.
