Again, La Rambla calls on Barcelonians to visit its most universal promenade and rediscover it from its varied facets. From March 27 to April 25, Amics de La Rambla once again offers 18 free routes that will allow a glimpse into aspects of the history of the avenue and the city.

Amics de La Rambla re-launches this proposal after the success of previous editions, which sold out tickets for all routes. To avoid missing out this year, prior registration through the entity is required. In this sixth edition, in addition, the (Re)discover La Rambla initiative premieres two new routes, which delve into the Mercè neighborhood and Pedro Hache's novel La señorita de la calle Avinyó, guided by the author himself.

The route La Mercè: el primer barri de mar de Barcelona will include walks through palaces and convents, which will transport visitors to a past with stories of murdered nobles, horse races, disappeared houses, and military institutions, on a street that a few years ago had the same central role that La Rambla now has.

For his part, Pedro Hache will guide the route that will review different old corners of the city, from Roman Barcino to current Barcelona, passing through the medieval period.

The two new routes join six others that are repeated in this edition, each of which invites to discover La Rambla from a different point of view. Specifically, they do so through the eyes of its most illustrious visitors; through a journey in time; from the Gòtic; from the Port Vell; from the Raval, and from the Rambla de las Floristas and the words dedicated to it by Lorca and Sagarra.
