The L'Hospitalet City Council continues to bet on its Cultural District with the purchase of two industrial warehouses from the Society for the Management of Assets from Bank Restructuring (Sareb), for an amount of almost five million euros. The properties are located in the Carretera del Mig industrial estate, between the Sant Josep and Bellvitge neighborhoods.

With a total area of 6,500 and 925 square meters, respectively, the council plans to dedicate these lands to cultural activities, with the aim of boosting the Cultural District, a strategic city project that has culture as a driver of transformation and social and economic growth.

In May 2017, the corresponding modification of the Metropolitan General Plan (PGM) was approved for the expansion of uses in these industrial areas, transforming them into areas of economic activity and the cultural industry.
