Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz are filming Day Drinkers together, and this week they are doing so in Vilanova i la Geltrú. The thriller, directed by American Marc Webb, is being developed on the maritime facade of the Catalan city.
Specifically, the main filming set is located on a yacht moored at the Vilanova Grand Marina facilities, as the thriller mainly takes place in a cruise ship bar.
The production has involved a significant deployment of resources, with trucks, caravans, and equipment occupying part of the area around the port.
In addition to Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz, the film also features Madelyn Cline and Manu Ríos. The film, whose shooting in Vilanova is managed by the regional agency Node Film Clúster, is expected to premiere in 2026.
