A large group of children hit him while playing what looks like a tribal ritual. He is grateful when his teacher forces them to follow the route, although it hurts him that she hasn't even mentioned who he was. The peace lasts little, with cars and motorcycles accelerating at the intersection of Diagonal and Girona. They rub shoulders with groups of tourists walking fast to get to the Sagrada Família, without even looking at him. A 'free tour' stops nearby and he hears the inaccurate anecdotes of his guide, armed with a microphone that sounds too loud. He realizes that, since the city said goodbye to its submarines, it has lost all its cachet, reduced to a pedestal in the middle of the urban fabric, too far from the water. He can't think much more because he feels a pigeon land on him and prays that it only does that.
