Since 2007, Foment has awarded the Medalles d'Honor and Premis Ferrer Salat to distinguish the work carried out by the most relevant entrepreneurs. With the medals of honor, the entity's highest distinction, it recognizes each year entrepreneurs who have had significant relevance in recent months or who are a reference for an entire exemplary business career. Likewise, homage is also paid to the businessman and former president of the employers' association Carles Ferrer Salat.

This year, the Medal of Honor for Entrepreneur of the Year aims to reward the professional career of Ángel Simón and his leadership at the head of Agbar. Foment recognizes his defense of public-private collaboration and efforts to guarantee access to an essential service such as water and sanitation. In the year of the pandemic, it also wants to highlight that the continuity of water has been ensured during the coronavirus crisis, reinforcing measures for vulnerable groups.
The recognition of Simón applauds Agbar's position as a world leader in water management, at a time when the growing scarcity of water resources and the global challenge of climate change demand management based on knowledge, experience, and innovation.
The employers' association chaired by Josep Sánchez Llibre also awards the Medal of Honor for Business Trajectory to the director of the Jardins Pedralbes Festival and Mil·lenni Festival, Martín Pérez Lombarte. It aims to recognize his commitment for more than 30 years to culture and live music, and his leadership at the head of his company Concert Studio, with which he has carried out national and international tours of artists such as The Three Tenors, Sting, Mariah Carey, Julio Iglesias, or Charles Aznavour.
For Foment, the excellence achieved in all the music festivals he has created and consolidated make him a cultural reference in Catalonia and Spain. They highlight the Mil·lenni Festival as one of the best-known festivals he has promoted, with an average of 50,000 annual spectators, and especially the Jardins Pedralbes Festival, which with only eight editions has acquired a high level of quality and acceptance.
The jury of this edition awards six companies with the XIII Carles Ferrer Salat Awards. The chosen ones are Fundació Superacció for its social commitment work; Iberboard for its commitment to innovation; Epson for its environmental responsibility; Frit Ravich for its internationalization strategy; Mercabarna for its equality policies, and PICVISA as SME of the year.
